Dr. Sedano

Dr. Sedano’s impossible machines — the Habitat Projects, Incubator and Return — are the last remnant of the life still left on this planet. Some plants manage to survive with mechanical implants.

E-lita and the Diva will be our entertainment, together with attractions such as The Noria and The Carousel, which do NOT invite us to take a ride or want to make us run. The clocks, worn out, will never tell the time again; the waste will pile up relentlessly, all of it in an enchanting world.

I try to make my small contribution to the environment by using recycled materials, giving them a second chance. That way they do not end up in the sea or in other places where they do not belong.

A new life for all those outdated, forgotten, invisible, broken, old, ignored objects. Every one of them has something to say, hidden inside or in plain sight. Their shapes move and make thousands of figures, scenes, moments and landscapes, waiting patiently, inert, for days, weeks, months, years... waiting in their box, not forgotten, never forgotten, simply waiting for their moment to come and for them to find a new purpose.

Realism in the imagination. This is another challenge: working and giving shape to the material I have, whatever the quantity.

My works have a soul, made of my own and of the souls of the people who give me the material used in them. Objects given by children, parents, grandparents, ordinary people who do their bit, who give a little of their soul. This shows that beneath all the darkness there is a colourful world, made of these objects and of the people who give me the materials to make them.
